Microsoft IE8 contest insults other browsers

Contest calls Chrome “tarnished”, Firefox “old” and Safari “boring.” The irony, of course, is that I wouldn’t use IE8 even if they guaranteed me $10,000. (via waxy)

So let me get this straight. Microsoft’s browser is so bad they have to bride people to use it? Yeah, that actually makes sense.

Plus the website (http://www.microsoft.com/australia/ie8/competition/):

You need a better branding company
WHY oh WHY is the text on your website AN IMAGE??
Also, when you scale images up in size, it gets blurry (refer to the twitter/facebook/etc icons)

By far the worst effort I’ve seen. Embarassing
